About this work

Description

Musculorum humani corporis picturata dissectio ... nunc primum in lucem edita. The drawings were by Girolamo da Carpi, and were said to have been engraved on copper by Augustino de' Musi. Only the first book containing the muscles was published. The end-papers are water-marked with a reproduction of a medallion of Pope Pius VII, 1800-1823 [1742-1823].
