I should think it highly important that the matter should have free egress both from the cyst in which it is secreted, and from the antrum as soon as it escapes from that into it. Finally, that abscess does occasionally form in other parts of this cavity than the base, is conclusively proven by the two last cases. It is true, these are the only ones of which we have any account, yet, nevertheless, they establish the fact that it is possible for them to occur in any part of the sinus.
