Marteau, Charles (1631-1704)

Pharmacopée ou Traitté de la connoissance et prépa[ra]tion, comme aussi de la composition des médicaments tant simples que composez. Compiler's holograph MS. The second unnumbered leaf contains a receipt for a compound remedy signed 'Cet août 1677 Marteau', which is written by the same hand as that of the text. He was a physician who practised at Laon. The unpaginated leaves at the beginning and end contain receipts by several hands of the first half of the 18th cent. One of these, written inside the lower cover, is dated July 1749. Produced in Laon.
