    Professor Semmola lias employed electricity^ with good effect, to promote the elimination of the poison. The patient is put into an acidulated bath with one pole of the continuous current iipnn the tongue and the other in the water. In other cases one pole was placed upon the tongue and the other on the epigastrium, without the bath. The examination of the urine, it is said, showed increased elimination of lead, and the blue line disappeared in a few weeks. ADDITIONAL For colic. R. Pulveris rhei, !iss. Tinctiirce rhei, Siij. Magnesii carbonatis, 3j. Tincturse opii, iilxv. Siiii'itus anisi, ivj. Spiritus meutbie piperitae, Aquse ad Svj. M. f. mist. A tablespoonful three times a day. {Naphey.)
