About this work

Description

"Falling on Deaf Ears is primarily a collection of true stories told to the author by people suffering with some form of disability, both physical, or those with mental health issues. It tells mainly of the indignities, and injustices they faced when going through the complicated process of claiming the benefits to which they are entitled. There is humour in the book too, we have to keep our sense of humour as well as our dignity. As the author I can say that I have really enjoyed writing this book, and have met some great people along the way. This is not a benefits advice book, however I have included some information of whom to contact, and where to find the help you seek. The main thing is that you do not have to face this alone. I hope that reading this book will help you to realise that, and to understand how others have coped, and managed to find justice."--Provided by publisher.
