About this work

Description

This film is subtitled 'Claire's Story' and follows Claire Miles who discovered, aged 19, that she had two cervixes, two wombs and two vaginas. She was told that she would be unlikely to have children but now, aged 34, she is pregnant in both wombs with a boy and a girl. The female twin runs into growth problems as both wombs are half size, then at 29 weeks, Claire goes into hospital with leg and ankle pain and is scanned for blood clots. They find one in her right leg which is removed. At 31 weeks the womb holding the boy begins to contract and she is treated to stop the contractions and returns home. At 33 weeks the fluid levels around both babies are very low so surgeons perform an emergency cesarian. All survive and remain fit and well.
