Also inscribed in pencil above the image: Spedisco questi due schizzi quest'oggi giorno 13, stesso giorno del mio arrivo in Calabria" (I'm sending these two sketches today 13th, the day of my arrival in Calabria). The second sketch is presumably the one described in this catalogue, record no. 43956i
