Description

Broadside illustrated by 2 woodcuts of Peter as a soldier and as a mentally ill person. He lived in a small room in his parents' house in Woodseats, Norton, Sheffield in his withdrawn condition following his being jilted on his wedding day. The story is related in prose and 7 verses of poetry ('Hopes of matrimony' by John Holland, 1822).
