About this work

Description

Rezept-buch: in German and Latin, by several hands. Illustrated by a few rough pen-drawings of chemical apparatus, etc. Most of the receipts are iatro-chemical. This MS. has been entered under the heading of 'Grundmann' whose name appears on the first leaf with the date 'Schoenebeck 3te Juni, 1773', but the first half seems to have been compiled in the last quarter of the 17th cent. or earlier. The second half seems to be by various 18th cent. hands including that of Grundmann himself.
