'jkr number of casualties admitted has shown a decline this year —fr<™ 151 to 121. The Maternity Department has had the same number of cases as last year—36. The Honorary Medical Staff wish to draw the attention of the Governors to the inadequacy of the X-Ray plant, and urge them to take such steps as will make it adequate to present day demands. They further wish to draw the Governors’ attention to the fact there is no room provided for the sole use of the Honorary Medical Staff in the Hospital building, a state of affairs which has existed for many years. REPORT OF THE ANTE-NATAL CLINIC FOR THE YEAR ENDED 30TH SEPTEMBER, 1935 During the current year the attendances at the Ante-Natal Clinic have been—New cases 14—Total num¬ ber of visits 20—Average number of visits per patient 1.43. This is not very satisfactory, and is due again, as I stated last year, to the fact that most of the patients did not attend until late in pregnancy. The cases may be summarized as follows :•— Pregnancy 10 Conditions associated with Miscarriage 2 Haemorrhage 1 Leucorrhoea 1 M. C. JOHNS. REPORT OF OPHTHALMIC DEPARTMENT FOR THE YEAR ENDED 30TH SEPTEMBER, 1935 The number of new Out-Patients that attended for the year was 210, practically the same as for the previous year, the total Out-Patient attendances being 1509, a decrease of 243 on that of 1934 : this gives an average attendance of about 31 patients. The In-Patients admitted number 22, and theie were 17 operations performed, which is 4 more than in the previous year. G. MAXTED.
