Description
Elizabeth Brownrigg, midwife to St Dunstan's Workhouse, Fetter Lane, was hanged on 14 September 1767 for cruelty and murder: she had tortured three girl apprentices, and killed one of them, who lived in her house in Fetter Lane, London
