In the Croonian Lectures of last year, I had the honor of bringing before the College the sub- ject of The Spinal or Diastaltic Nervous Si/stem, in its relation to Anatomy, Physiology, Diagnosis, Pathology, Therapeutics, and Obstetrics. I purpose, on the pre- sent occasion, to treat of a branch of that System, in its relation and application to the pathology of a pe- culiar Class of the Diseases of the Nervous System. 2.
