Description

On the left-hand side, an angel descends to lift up the ghost of a man who stands in the doorway of a windmill. Several people, all in the area by the sea (like the Netherlands) are also being saved. Above, the Virgin and Joseph are kneeling before Christ. Two angels carry a crucifix and a pillar or lampstand respectively

Lettering

Judicabit judices iudex genera/ Ibi nichi proderit dignitas papa/ Sive sit episcopus, sive cardina/ Revs condempnabitur, nec dicetur qua ... Lettering continues: "Ibi nichil proderit multa allega/ Neque excipere neque replica/ Nec ad Apostolicam sedem appella/ Reus condempabitur sciens bene qua// Cogitate miseri qui et quales es/ Quid in hoc iudicio dicere potes/ Quo nec erit codici locus nec diges/ Christus iudex dæmō actor reus tes. Phillippus Galle excude". At the end of the three stanzas are the words "lis", "re" and "tis" respectively. Around these verses in the centre are quotations from the Bible: Isaiah 13.9-10; 2 Peter 3.7-8; Revelation 6.16, Luke 23.30; Revelation 20.13; 6.13; Isaiah 15; Isaiah 65.5; Matthew 24.41; Joel 2.2
