It will be seen that the aperture of entrance is circular and much smaller than the aperture of exit, which latter is irregular in shape. Fig. 2.—Fracture produced by a bullet fired with so little force as not to perforate the skull. It will be seen that the outer table is merely slightly depressed, but that the inner table is widely splintered. Figs. 3 a, b, c.—An old depressed fracture of the skull. Here again it will be noted that the inner table is the most widely broken.
