    his breathing was relieved, and he expectorated freely. On the third week his digestion was improved, his bowels acted freely, he slept well, was restored to strength, and on the fifth week was perfectly relieved from his complaint. He was galvanized twenty-eight times. Since that period he states he has enjoyed perfect health, and has not had occasion to take any aperient medicine whatever; and though subsequently he has frequently taken cold from getting wet, he has not had the least tendency to asthmatic breathing. Bad as it was, Mr. L. thought he could be of use to her, and she was therefore encouraged to try the application.
