    cealing Chancres. The Cure obtained by flitting the Pra:puce is often as troublefome as the Difeafe. A young Man applied to me who had a Phy- niofis. I ihould have guefled from theAppearance, that it would have required fix or feven Days ta relax it. I applied the Bath, and finding the Con- ttridlion beginning to give way, I continued it Yor three Hours, when I was able to withdraw the Praepuce entirely, and drefs the Chancres, which were very numerous upon the Corona Glandis. A confiderable Tightnefs returned for three or four Days, but it always yielded to a fiiort Application of the Bath. Buboes are fometimes of fo indolent a Nature that they will neither fuppurate or difperfe; one of long ftanding was entirely removed by the Bath, though it required a longer Continuance of its Ufe, than any Cafe in which I have tried it. Vapor Bathing has been ufed for the Hernia Humoralis, as it is called, and apparently with fuperior Advantage to Fomentations. Probably the Number of incurable Symp¬ toms, in this Difeafe, would be much leflened by the prudent Ufe of the Vapor Bath i fuch as Tumors on the Tefticles, Diftortion of the Penis, Nodes, and all other Kinds of Tumors; the Fixing of the Jaw, Difeafes of the Proftat® Gland, - Experience
