White blood corpuscles Colour index ... I recently examined a typical case of this disease at present under Dr. Pitt, in Stephen ward, with the following result. The blood flowed very freely, it was a little paler than normal, and it did not coagulate readily. Red blood corpuscles 903,846 per cubic mm. 1,800,000 5,000 .. 41 per cent. ,. 1-14 23 percent. 3.571 per cubic mm. 1.25 .. 34 per cent. • • 3 Haemoglobin Leucocytes Colour index Small lymphocytes Large lymphocytes Polymorphonuclear cells 57 Eosinophiles ... ... 6 „ There were many macrocytes and microcytes, chiefly the former. Poikilocytosis was well marked. There were a large number of nuc- leated red blood corpuscles. I counted 12 whilst enumerating 100 white blood corpuscles.
