Pseudo-Mohammed: recipe against epilepsy ascribed to the Prophet Mohammed

At the top of the first leaf is an oriental-style decoration in water-colour. Two of the leaves consist of parts of a printed notice of meetings of the Académic Royale de Médecine, dated 7/11/1846 addressed to M. Bonastre (i.e. J. F. Bonastre [ -1856]). There is a short glossary of Persian medical terms.

12 ll. 8vo. 19 x 12 cm. Partly on rice paper. Modern vellum binding, with title stamped in gold on the upper cover. Margins cropped; the work is incomplete at the end.
