The Phy- sician may be a man of pure Science, devoting huuself to the study of life in-all its forms,—to Biologj', to the Structure of the Human Frame in its nonnal state as ail Anatomist, or its morbid state, in its widest sense, as a Pathologist; or if his tastes lead him rather to the Practice of his Art than to tlie Study of its Science, he will find in its jiractical apjilication in the many manual and mechanical i)m‘suits connected witli it, full scope for tlie exercise of his skill, and full occupation for his ingenuity.
