Description

A magazine insert issued by the Edwards' Harlene Company of 95 & 96 High Holborn, London, W.C. advertising Edwards' 'Harlene' shampoo which was supposed to restore the hair and stop it falling out or turning grey, promote hair growth, strengthen the roots, remove dandruff and render the hair beautifully soft. The front is a colour image of a young woman in a full length pink dress, combing out her knee length brown hair in front of a large dressing table. A young, blondE girl in a green dress gazes on. The reverse is captioned, Edwards' "Harlene" for the hair and shows line illustrations of a bearded man and a woman's head, both with much hair.
