About this work

Description

De cura naturali febrium putridarum... in 7th capitulum, tractatus 2, fen prima, libri 4i Avicennae. [Followed by] FRIGIMELICA [or FRIZIMELICA] (Francesco) Varii tractatus. The second work by a different, and probably earlier hand; dates conjectured to be c.1650 and c.1600 respectively. The tracts by F. Frigimelica [1491-1559] are: 'De modo purgandi'. 'De Syrupis'. 'In nono Rasis ad Almansorem lectura' ['De apoplexia'. 'De phrenetide'. 'De pleuritide'.] 'De morbo gallico'. 'De vulneribus capitis'. With Frigimelica's work on the Morbus gallicus, of which only part is included, are excertps from the 'De morbo gallico' of Joannes Baptista Montanus [1498-1552]. Both these are printed in full in the 1728 edition of 'Aphrodisiacus' by Aloysius Luisinus. Signature of 'Dott. Emilio Biondi' on the first leaf, with a note by him on the verso fo the second leaf 'Questo fu da me sottoscritto acquistato in Rimini (Romagna). This statement is signed and dated 'Rimini, 1900'.
