[Joachim Florensis, Abbas] [1145?-1202]

Infrascripta Vaticinia fuerunt reperta Norimbergae, et extracta a quodam originali, ita uetusto, et in frustea redacto, ut uix haec excipere potuerimus, quamuis in principio, et in fine desint circa decem uaticinia. Illustrated with 12 pen-drawings, symbolizing Popes, with short text. Of these the first seven are named from Julian III to Sixtus V. Inserted loose are small slips by the same hand, giving the colours of the originals in Italian. These famous prophecies and illustrations, attributed to Joachim Florensis, were first published at Venice in 1516. An edition in German, with a strongly Protestant bias, by Paracelsus, was first issued in 1569.
