No work by Astruc seems to be included in this MS., hence it has been entered as above as not only does the text differ from that of Astruc [MS. 1006] but Astruc is himself mentioned (cf. p. 179). Produced in Marseilles.

Little seems to be known of Chabert except that he practised for many years at Marseilles, and was appointed Chirurgien Royal des Galères in 1703. A work by him 'Observations de Chirurgie pratique' was published in Paris in 1724.
