About this work

Description

The (New) London Fever Hospital was built in 1848-52 to cope with infectious disease of all types. The hospital had previously been at King's Cross, but was forced to move when the railway Terminus was built. Now (1996) the hospital is closed and the buildings have been converted into living accommodation
