Description

Lectiones Bernardini Paterni profitentis Theoricam primo loco ordinariam in Patavino Gymnasio in Prima Fen primi libri Avicennae anno 1578, tertio die novembris. With other lectures, etc. The lectures on Avicenna, are followed by others on 'Morbus Gallicus' on Galen's 'Methodus medendi', the 'Praesagia' and 'Prognostica' of Hippocrates, on putrid fevers, and on the Aphorisms of Hippocrates. The last section is on 'Melancholia hypochondriaca', in the middle of which is inserted a letter containing advice to a patient, in Italian and apparently by a different hand.
