Description

Correspondence regarding a visit to Monte Carlo for a Salk Institute International Council Meeting, convened at the Palace, Monte Carlo, 31 July, 1981, at which Crick gave a short presentation to Members of the Council on "The Future Scientific Directions of the Salk Institute".

On the previous day, July 30, Crick gave a lecture ("The Biological Revolution: its Meaning for Medicine") to a private audience at the Centre de Congrès Auditorium, followed by a champagne reception in honour of Princess Grace (Member of the International Council of the Salk Institute)

The file includes an abstract (typescript) and notes (holograph) for Crick's lecture, a second set of notes (holograph) made for another purpose, and a programme for a Concert Lyrique, performed by the Orchestre Philharmonique de Monte Carlo (30 July).
