Biographical note

Frederica Charlotte Ulrica Catherine, was the eldest daughter of Frederick William II, King of Prussia, and married the Duke of York - George III's second son, Frederick - in 1791. The couple soon parted and the Duchess lived the rest of her life at Oatlands Park, Surrey. Henry Halford (1766-1844) and Matthew Baillie (1761-1823) were both Physicians Extraordinary to George III.
