Description

This cinemagazine comprises three features. The first 'Sealed in Resin' is a brief account of a method of mounting museum specimens in transparent synthetic resin. In the second part, 'The Naked Mole Rat', Heterocephalus glaber, the late Gerard Hoffnung describes the strange appearance and habits of this biologically important East African rodent. Finally 'Taballet'... 'Tabloid' production as light entertainment, with mock-heroic verse commentary and musical accompaniment, with stop-frame animation and glorious technicolour. Devised by Douglas Fisher. Sadly this cine magazine was the sole newsreel produced by the Wellcome Foundation.
