Poisoned. Part 1, Killers in the home.

The first in a six-part documentary about real-life cases of poisoning, looking in particular at how poisons affect the body and featuring the work of the Medical Toxicology Unit in South East London. This part is about the hidden dangers in the home and features the case of two-year-old Billy Mansfield who swallowed white spirit while his mother was decorating. Each hear 35,000 children are taken to hospital following domestic poisoning. We follow Billy's progress as he fights for his life and receives emergency hospital treatment.
