The following is an interim description that may change once detailed cataloguing takes place in the future: Soft bound copies (bound by year) of the ARC Epidemiology Research Unit typed annual reports from 1978-89 Soft bound copies of the ARC Epidemiology Research Units' typed weekly bulletins and monthly reports 1965-89, bound by year. For each year between 1965 and 1989, there is also a loose-leaf folder comprising: - typed correspondence between Prof. Wood and other professionals relating to the international classification of disability, rheumatism and other work which Prof. Wood was involved in for WHO and other organisations, and work relating to revision of the constitutional structure of International and European Leagues against Rheumatism. - typed speaking manuscripts from Prof Wood's presentations, talks, tutorials, conference contributions etc. Hard bound copies of the EULAR Bulletins volumes 4-8, plus supplements, bound by year Hard bound copies of collections of Prof. Wood's published articles, bound by year, from 1965-89 2 hard bound volumes of collected papers of Prof Philip Wood presented to him on his retirement Hard backed book "Salicylates" an international symposium (1962) edited by A. St. J. Dixon, B. K. Martin, M. J. H. Smith and P. H. N. Wood Hard backed book "Population studies of the rheumatic diseases" proceedings of the third international symposium, New York June 1966 (published 1968) edited by P. H. Bennet and P. H. N. Wood. Additional papers received 08/01/2017 are accompanied by hard copy box list. This is scanned and can be found in both the paper collection file and computer collection file.

Papers collected or created by Professor Phillip N H Wood in the course of his career. A leading figure in the development of the understanding of rheumatology, Professor Wood was also instrumental in the establishment of the British Society for Rheumatology. He was also an epidemiologist, a health services researcher, and a social scientist.
