About this work

Description

"This zine contains anonymous contributions from precariously employed academics, PhD students and "early career researchers". When I started the zine in 2014, stories were just entering the mainstream press about the neglect, abuse, exploitation and suffering that characterise higher education. My worries that the zine would become outdated in the five years it took me to get it out were unfounded. It got worse! In those five years we've had suicides, several assaults, pensions cuts, job cuts, brexit, neo-nazis + terfs... just to name a few horrors. Many of us have struggled to understand the violence that we have come to take for granted in universities, as well as to develop strategies for survival, resistance and revolution in/from the university. This zine is a small part of that project."--[page 1].
