Description

Dedicated to the work of Hugh Owen Thomas (1834-1891) this film shows how to apply a Thomas splint to a patient with a fractured knee. Actuality includes nurses and doctor applying splint; bandaging; x-rays; nurse checking for pressure sores; row of men in hospital beds with legs in traction; calliper with boot for rehabilitation; demonstration of patient using calliper; patients walking without calliper.
