Description
Scanning electron micrograph of guinea pig organ
of Corti. Close-up of coils whose upper surface
has been peeled off to reveal the pattern of the
hair cells below. 3 rows of outer hair cells and
the single row of inner hair cells are visible.
Above the outer hair cells, the Hensen cells can
be seen.
