The photograph is part of a collection presented to the Wellcome Institute Library by Rev. John P. Caton B.D., on 26th January 1989. The photographs were taken by Caton's late wife, Margaret Jane Seymour Caton when she worked as a nurse at St Nicholas' and St Martin's Orthopaedic Hospital, Pyrford, Surrey, between 1935 and 1937. The hospital was later known as the Rowley Bristow Hospital
