    became gradually worse. She became more restless and irrit- able, the slightest examina- tion agitating her much; she was frequently delirious, and suffered from the terror of illusions. The pulse did not exceed 120. The temperature during this period presented a certain uniformity, ranging between 99° and 101°; it M- would rise from the former to M the latter in twelve or twenty- „ four hours, and take from o thirty-six to forty-eight hours o to fall, making the chart line & wave-like, each wave includ- ^ ing three days.
