About this work
Description
The sculpture, called Flora, was bought for the Kaiser Friedrich Museum, Berlin, by the art expert Wilhelm von Bode in 1909, in the belief that it was a work by Leonardo da Vinci. The present article and illustrations aim to show that it was the work of the English sculptor Richard Cockle Lucas (1800-1883)
