Notes
Though written in what is apparently an early 17th cent. hand, the MS. must be dated about the middle of that century or later. On fol. 15v is a 'Recepte de Mr François Rouxel de Medevy [1605-1691], Evesque de Sais' [Séez], followed by 'à present archevesque de Rouen l'année 1671'-which has clearly been added later. This ecclesiastic became bishop of Séez in 1651, and was appointed Archbishop of Rouen in 1671.
