Description

Shaped leafet (roughly that of a shield) advertising an early lifebelt which would be strapped to the wearer (2 small diagrams at the top show just how). Probably 1820s. The preserver is illustrated above the text and below a coat of arms. A small illustration of a man in the water wearing one is along the base of the paper. It was printed by "Jones... Whitcomb Court, Leicester Fields" in Soho, London.
