Linear sebaceous neavus

Linear sebaceous naevus on the abdomen. Linear sebaceous naevus syndrome is a rare genetic disease which affects the skin. Sometimes called Linear sebaceous naevus of Jadassohn can take the form of single or multiple skin lesions. The lesions present on the skin as large hairless plaques which are slightly elevated. They have a a soft velvety surface, yellowish in white individuals and as can be seen here they are hyperpigmented in black individuals. As the lesions grow they can become warty in appearance also illustrated here.
