    BYE-LAWS AND REGULATIONS RELATING TO LICENTIATES. The College will, under its Charter, grant Licences (which Licentiatb*. are not to extend to make the Licentiates Members of the Corporation) to persons who shall conform to the Bye-Laws and Regulations. Under the provisions of Clause XIX of the Medical Act (1858), an agreement was entered into in February, 1883, between the Royal College of Physicians of London and the Royal College of Surgeons of England to form a Con- joint Examining Board, and to provide that every Candidate who shall have passed the Final Examination conducted by the Board shall, subject to the Bye-Laws of each College, be entitled to receive the Licence of the College of Physicians and the Diploma of Member of the College of Surgeons. It was further agreed that each College should abstain from the exercise of its independent privilege of giving a qualification for admission to the Medical Register with respect to all Students who should commence their Professional Studies on an^after 1st October, 1884. This agreement remains in force. Bye-Law CLXIX. The Licentiates of the College shall have the use of the Their Library and Museum, subject to the Regulations relating PliuleSe8* thereto, and shall be admitted to all Lectures, and shall enjoy such further privileges as may from time to time be defined by the Bye-Laws.
