About this work
Description
The second in a three-part series looking at what biological / social factors make us who we are. This part features athlete Colin Jackson who wants to know if his string of gold medals have been achieved by nature or nurture. His muscle fibres are examined. Is it possible that winter-born boys are more likely to be good sportsmen than boys born at other seasons of the year? And how much does race have to do with athletic ability? Tests are performed to show how good Jackson is at bouncing back from disaster and dealing with pain.
