Biographical note

Conference for Identification of Unmet Needs in Family Health Care in Anglophone Africa held in London, 11-15 June 1979. The conference focused on the use and training of Traditional Birth Attendants (TBAs) and rural health personel as part of the ICM/USAID Project objectives, which began with a Working Party for Anglophone West Africa held in Accra in 1972.

Miss F. Margaret Hardy, Executive Secretary ICM, opened the conference, and Mrs. Andrews, C.B.E., ICM President, gave the inaugral address.
