"Happy New Year: Recording of Conference in Amsterdam"

Recording of a talk given by Winnicott at the 24th International Psychoanalytical Association Congress in Amsterdam, July 1965, preceded by a happy new year message. The talk concerns childhood development, case histories, obsessional neurosis, dissociation and estrangement between mother and child. The tape ends with an unrelated dictation in Dutch, probably by the translator L.M. Tas, whose name and address are printed on the tape packaging, and who appeared to have sent the tape to Winnicott with the recorded message at the beginning.
