Meetings files

From 1964, the meetings secretaries kept a file for each meeting. Some of these contain correspondence pertaining to the organisation of the meeting, as well as agendas and abstracts. From 1969, comments on papers given were solicited from other committee members: approval of the paper was necessary before an applicant could be received as a member of the Society. The files peter out in the mid 1970s, but by then agendas and abstracts were being kept with the minutes.

Letters which do not relate to the meetings have been extracted and placed with loose correspondence in section D. Early material has been gathered into B/1/1, comprising agendas and notices of early meetings, and a version of the minutes of the original meeting of 'a neonatal group' which differs from that written into the minute book.
