Description

Letter from E L Tanner, UCL Secretary, to J B S Haldane dated 8 Jul 1940 regarding expenditure from the Rockefeller grant for the period 1 Aug 1939 to 30 Jun 1940, the payment of Mr Rendel from the grant money, and receipt of £300 from the Rockefeller Foundation without any reference.


Letter from Haldane to Tanner dated 10 Jul 1940 regarding Mr Rendel's situation and involvement in genetical work.


Letter from Tanner to Haldane dated 12 Jul 1940 agreeing to pay Mr Rendel out of the Rockefeller grant, and stating that only £300 has been received from the Rockefeller Foundation.


Letter from Haldane to Tanner dated 23 Jul 1940 quoting from a letter sent to Haldane by the Comptroller of The Rockefeller Foundation requesting the return of a voucher to confirm receipt of the first instalment of the grant, and a statement of receipts and expenditures under the grant for their work over the previous two years [see HALDANE/3/4/1/1/24].
