Description
Photograph of a reproduction of a drawing of a circumcision clamp, known as el lazim, in situ. The drawing is reproduced as figure 96 in Grenville Anderson, Robert: Medical practices and superstitions amongst the people of Kordofan : their treatment of disease and the chief drugs, instruments and appliances in common use, London, 1908. The photograph was acquired by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum and accession in 1938 (accession number PHO 10722).
