Description

A cylinder next to a sketch of the impression on a cylinder seal showing the scorpion symbol of the goddess Ishkhara, c.2400 B.C. The cylinder was acquired by the Wellcome Historical Medical Musuem and accessioned in 1938 (accession number R2309/1938). This sketch accompanied the cylinder as part of a display of Assyrian and Babylonian cylinders in the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum. It is not held by Wellcome Collection.
