Description

Autobiography: Author's holograph MS., incomplete. With typescript copy, also incomplete. Vol. 2 of the MS. ends on Fol. 128 of the typescript, which continues with 'Footnotes to the first note-book': This is also incomplete. The MS. contains biographical notes of the author's father, Thomas Silvester, M.D. [1799-1877], and of his younger brother Henry Robert Silvester, M.D. [1828-1908].

2 volumes 2 vols., 138 ff. 4to. 23 × 18 cm., 251/2 × 201/2 cm. The MS. is in two cloth-covered note-books: the typescript is unbound. Written partly on the rectos only.

Biographical note

P. de H. Silvester was born in 1827, obtained his M.A. at Oxford in 1853, and was finally Rector of St. Levan, Cornwall from 1878 to the time of his death.
