Patient Complaints - Family Practitioner Service Procedures

Correspondence and papers relating to patient complaint procedures in the NHS, mainly the Government's proposed review of the Family Practitioner Services complaints investigation procedure 1976. Also covers specific cases of complaint re failures of the system, terms of office of the Health Services Commissioner, and GP-patient relationships from the doctor's viewpoint.

Includes correspondence with the DHSS, DHSS review proposal, comments by the Patients Association. (The review was deferred and then Ministers decided that it was not established that the complaints procedures needed radical alteration and they did not proceed with the proposals explored in the course of the review, only to pursue some minor changes 1980).
