Description

Praxeos medicae libri IV. Illustrated by two rough pen-drawn folding figures illustrating vision. Book IV comes before the first three books. Contents: Liber IV Praxeos medicae: De febribus (pp. 1-144); Pp. 145-156 blank. Praxis medica commentariis illustrata. Liber I: De morbis regionis animalis (pp. 157-188+97 ll. + 11 bl. ll.). Praxeos medicae Liber II: De morbis regionis vitalis et de febribus malignis (ll. 109-174 + 8 bl. ll.). Praxeos medicae Liber III: De morbis regionis naturalis (ll. 183-276). The work is a student's notes, with some gaps, of lectures by Cirillus at Naples University-the spine is lettered 'Praxis medica ex Cyrillo'. At the head of the first leaf of Book II (l. 109) is a note 'ex Joacchimo Castaldo'. The date 1732 occurs at the top of p. 157-at the beginning of Book I. Produced in Naples.
